Catalog description

This course will explore what it means to be a social worker and uncover the numerous ways we can make a difference. Students will discover the values and ethics that guide social work practice, reveal the history and social policies that shape the profession, and learn how social work advocates for social and economic justice, and human rights. We will use hands-on activities and discussions to enrich learning and bring these concepts to life. This course highlights ways the social work profession is dedicated to creating positive change in the lives of individuals, families, and the community.
