Catalog description
In this course teacher candidates are introduced to and required to apply test and measurement theory, including the selection, administration, and interpretation of assessment tools. The course includes assessment strategies spanning the continuum from informal to formal. Child progress monitoring and program evaluation are also included. Teacher candidates use assessment data to inform instruction and make decisions in mock MDT and IEP meetings. Concepts are applied via video case studies and direct assessment of children.
