Catalog description
This course will help students understand how social forces influence American family life, including their own family changes. We will learn about the history of marriage and family life in America as well as current trends in dating, cohabitation, marriage, childbearing, divorce, and repartnering. We will also seek to understand differences in family structure and how those differences impact adults and children.
