Catalog description

This course delves into the art and science of social competence-knowing how to appropriately apply social skills in ways that meet the objective of the interaction, maintain self-esteem of both parties, improve the quality of the relationship, maintain a balance of power between the actors, and respect interpersonal human rights. Students will obtain practical skills that will allow them to better "see" others in their fulness-while also being "seen" themselves.
