Catalog description

This course, tailored for Therapeutic Recreation students, offers a comprehensive exploration of evidence-based practice in real-world settings. Students will gain valuable work experience with applicable populations, focusing on the practical implementation of the Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Process. The TR Process encompasses Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Documentation. Throughout the course, students will actively design treatment plans, evaluate the benefits of therapeutic interventions for specific populations, and employ a range of evidence-based practices. This immersive experience prepares students for the dynamic challenges of applying evidence-based principles in therapeutic recreation.
