Catalog description
This introductory course includes mountain bike riding techniques, skills, conditioning, and maintenance. Group management and leadership will also be emphasized. The course involves weekly 10 to 20 mile rides with different levels of difficulty. Students must provide or rent their own bikes. Skills acquired in this class can aid students who desire to work as guides or Outdoor Recreation Specialists. This course requires mandatory Field Experiences. Instructors will contact students with trip information prior to the start of the semester.
