Outdoor Recreation Seminar
Brigham Young University-Idaho · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Students embark on a journey of discovery and adventure with the Outdoor Recreation Seminar. This student-facilitated course is geared towards freshmen, sophomores, and any students new to the Rexburg area. Through experiential learning opportunities, the course will introduce participants to the wealth of outdoor activities available in the local area. The course will promote well-being, foster teamwork, develop familiarity with what is available in the Rexburg area, and it will foster a deeper connection with the environment and peers. Note: Students will be required to participate in outdoor activities both in class, and there will be a substantial number of outdoor experiences that are required outside the class through the campus recreation-outdoor activities program. Some trips may require additional fees.
