Catalog description
This course prepares the student to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for the childbearing family prior to and through pregnancy, labor and delivery, and post- partum care. The nurse's role in health promotion and care during high risk situations are both considered. The course also focuses on child development and health promotion, as well as evidence-based nursing care for specific health problems common to children.
