Catalog description
This trigonometry-based strength of materials course prepares students to analyze the behavior of materials under load. Students will learn to calculate stress and strain and determine deflections in axially and torsionally loaded members. Emphasis is placed on the practical application of these principles to solve real-world engineering problems and on the effective communication of results.
