Catalog description
Internship credits are exempt from tuition charges. However, an administrative fee equal to one credit hour at the current rate of tuition will be charged for an internship course. The fee is in addition to any tuition charges for other classes. Fees are charged independently of tuition and are not subject to the 12-credit tuition cap. The ME 298 course is the method of obtaining school credit for relevant employment early in a student's education. Throughout the course, students will complete career development activities in addition to their employment obligations. Students must register for ME 298 during the same semester they are employed. Employment under the supervision of a technician or an engineer would be approved. Full-time employment for the duration of a full semester is preferred while 280 hours of work is a minimum requirement.
