Catalog description

DevOps is the key to building, deploying, and maintaining reliable applications efficiently in today's fast-paced software landscape. This course gives students a hands-on, practical foundation in DevOps principles, focusing on automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in modern software development. Students will gain proficiency in Git for version control, master branching strategies and code reviews, and understand its crucial role in agile development and MVP delivery. A major focus of the course is designing and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, which enable teams to deliver high-quality software faster and confidently deploy applications into production-ready environments. Students learn the practical skills and foundational knowledge necessary to implement DevOps best practices in real-world environments, improving software development efficiency, maintainability, and operational reliability.
