Catalog description

Students will learn the landscape construction process including construction documentation and opportunities for hands-on construction. Students will learn basic components of and produce landscape layout and materials plans, grading and drainage plans, landscape lighting plans, irrigation diagrams, planting plans, and an assortment of construction details. The course covers design and construction techniques for materials and structures including: paving, retaining walls, steps, lumber structures, lumber decking, planting design, water features, swimming pools, landscape lighting and utilities, etc.
