Catalog description

Students will enhance their floral skills as they focus on more advanced skills and designs associated with the retail floral world including, funerals, holidays, and everyday designs. Students will learn styles from the history of floral design, and practice using the Elements and Principles of Design to create beautiful, well-made designs. Weekly hands-on labs will allow students to practice their basic skills and move onto more difficult territory, such as speed and efficiency. Students will dive deeper into the business side of owning and running a retail flower shop and focus on pricing, ordering, holiday inventory, and marketing.
