Woody Plant Identification

Catalog description

This course provides an understanding of the use of woody plants in the exterior environment for home and commercial landscaping. Students learn plant identification, growth characteristics, usage, care, and design values as they pertain to the woody plant horticulture industry. Focus is on trees, shrubs, and groundcovers, and being able to apply these skill sets. Students may have the opportunity to travel and study plants in the landscape industry.
