Catalog description

This competency-based field experience is designed to apply an understanding of learning and teaching in an authentic setting. Students will be working with middle school age children consistent with each students' content specific area of emphasis/minor. Through observation, practice, and reflection, teacher candidates will continue developing expertise in instructional planning, enhancing learning environments, instructional pedagogy and delivery, and professionalism. Mentor teachers and faculty supervisors will provide regular feedback to candidates through multiple formative evaluations.
