This course is designed to help students create greater success in college and in life. You will learn how to master effective study skills, take charge of your life, increase self-motivation, improve personal self-management, develop interdependence, increase self-awareness, maximize your learning, develop emotional intelligence, raise your self-esteem, write more effectively, and improve creative and critical thinking skills. YOU WILL REACH THESE OBJECTIVES BY: charting your growth through pre and post assessments of your inner qualities (soft skills) and study skills, reading the textbook and completing Reading Study Guides, keeping a guided journal, designing and completing study skills plans, and discussing and reporting what you have learned with classmates and a trusted confidant.
