Catalog description
This online course is an introduction to paleography as it relates to genealogical research. Paleography is the study of ancient writing systems and the deciphering and dating of historical manuscripts. Students will be able to interpret information from handwritten records from a variety of record types, languages and styles. Students will produce abstracts, transcripts, and translations of handwritten documents.
