Internship for FCSE Major

Catalog description

Internship credits are exempt from tuition charges. However, an administrative fee equal to one credit hour at the current rate of tuition will be charged for an internship course. The fee is in addition to any tuition charges for other classes. Fees are charged independently of tuition and are not subject to the 12-credit tuition cap. Internships are an opportunity for students to gain invaluable work-based learning experience in industry-related Family and Consumer Science areas or in Co-operative Extension. They add depth to the understanding and application of concepts and theories studied in the classroom and serve to polish and refine the educational experience. It's recommended to take this course as work experience during the flex semester. 160 work hours are required in a minimum of 7 weeks.
