Catalog description

This course teaches a branch of physiology that deals with the functioning of the human body during exercise and movement. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of energy metabolism, muscle function, cardiovascular function, respiration, hormonal control, and neurophysiology during rest and in response to acute and chronic exercise. In addition, these concepts will be applied to environmental conditions, age, and gender and used to explain concepts and trends in exercise and human performance.
