Lifeguard Instructor

Catalog description

In this course, students will prepare and teach three 20-minute lessons that cover an array of skills and life-guarding knowledge. They will also set up and run an out-of-class practice session for students in the Lifeguard Training course. The practice session must be a minimum of one hour in length. They will also identify, match, and recall the knowledge and ethical obligations they should incorporate into a position as an instructor. Lifeguard certification is required before enrolling in this class.
