Fundamentals of Rhetoric

Catalog description

Fundamentals of Rhetoric introduces the study of rhetoric including history, theory, vocabulary, and application. In this course, students will learn to recognize that rhetoric is a dynamic force for shaping discourse communities, ideologies, and nations. This will allow students to better evaluate and articulate arguments as they begin and continue their careers. Students will analyze rhetorical situations and strategies and then apply these concepts in their own writing.
