This course provides students with deep learning in modern news-gathering trends and techniques such as data journalism. Students will learn the latest techniques to report and investigate the news. The course will demonstrate competence with creating and disseminating journalism through digital technologies. Students will have an in-depth learning experience of the latest trends in news, including the non-profit, online, hyperlocal, and converged models emerging in the field today.
