Catalog description
Internship credits are exempt from tuition charges. However, an administrative fee equal to one credit hour at the current rate of tuition will be charged for an internship course. The fee is in addition to any tuition charges for other classes. Fees are charged independently of tuition and are not subject to the 12-credit tuition cap. In this course, students arrange to work for an agency that serves children/families directly or indirectly. In their work students will apply concepts and developmental knowledge gained in major coursework to strengthen and enrich the lives of children and families, while deepening understanding and sharpening skills through hands-on experiences and professional mentoring. Students are required to serve at the internship placement for a minimum of 160 hours spread over a minimum of 8 weeks.
