Catalog description
This course will serve as the accompanying lab to Instrumental Analysis (CHEM 420). Students will gain hands-on experience using a selection of instruments to solve chemical problems. Laboratory experiments will include the use of the following: inductively coupled plasma spectrometer, ultraviolet/visible light spectrophotometer, spectrofluorometer, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, gas chromatograph mass spectrometer, liquid chromatograph, capillary electrophoresis instrument, and a potentiostat.
