Catalog description

This first-year course helps students explore chemistry as a major while building meaningful connections with peers, faculty, and the broader scientific community. Through engaging laboratory experiences, discussions, and career exploration activities, students will gain an understanding of chemistry subfields, academic planning, and professional opportunities. It also introduces key university resources, laboratory safety fundamentals, and problem-solving strategies to support student success in the chemistry program.
