Catalog description

This course brings elements from the disciplines of Design, Humanities, and Business together into a fast-paced workshop-style experience that teaches students how to challenge their assumptions and think like an innovator. Students will solve human-centered design challenges using the latest innovation and Design Thinking methods and mindsets. Students will practice ethnographic research, frame insights, compose actionable questions to define a consumer's needs and wants, tailor a positive experience with a product or service to the customer, and verify desirability, feasibly, and viability. Students will develop the ability to work and communicate efficiently in diverse groups as they practice essential principles of Emotional Intelligence.
