Catalog description
This course acquaints students with Secondary Art Education philosophy. Students will address the importance of advocacy for the arts in the public schools and the community, the basic history of art education, and current trends in the field. Topics also include aesthetics and art criticism, with a focus on contemporary visual culture, contemporary art, and art from non-Western cultures.
