Catalog description
This introductory course teaches basic construction techniques for children's apparel. Projects include a knit shirt, pants, booties, a sleeper, a baby cap, as well as a bib, a blessing dress, and a lined coat. Some pattern design will be included. Students will be introduced to the sewing machine, serger, cover stitch, and embroidery machine. Students are required to furnish the fabric and notions for individual projects. Materials cost approximately $45 to $70 or more.
