Catalog description

This course provides instruction and hands-on experience in soil fertility and plant nutrition for agricultural and horticultural crops. Study the methods of nutrient uptake, nutrient cycles of the primary nutrients, secondary and micro-nutrients, nutrient management strategies, environmental impacts, and economics of fertilizing and liming. The laboratory section of the course will provide practical experience in measuring the availability of nutrient in soils and other soil fertility-determining properties.
