Catalog description

This course presents statistical quality control techniques used in determining operating quality levels to maintain and improve quality assurance in service and manufacturing industries. Topics covered will include, tools that will control processes such as control charting, capability analysis, and tools to monitor and visually assess quality. Quality improvement will be practically emphasized in project work utilizing recognized problem solving processes such as Lean Six Sigma and the tools to accomplish this improvement. The course objective is to develop familiarity with contemporary methods found to be effective to control and improve processes.
