Catalog description

This course is designed to improve communications (eg. oral, written, oral and formal presentation) and research skills within the technology, engineering, and management disciplines. The course will familiarize students with science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), managerial English, common reports, and written communications. The course component will review grammar, writing, technical reading comprehension, technical, and scientific report formats, speaking, and presentation skills to help students succeed in graduate level studies while also gaining necessary professional networking and job-related skills.  The course will utilize a series of practical “real world” case studies in-class, exercises, and team project assignments, supplemented with readings in technical and management publications.
