Clinical course offered concurrently with Essentials of Psychological/Mental Health Nursing. Students examine the social and environmental impact upon patients and families abilities to meet the challenges of mental illness and refine their delivery of nursing care and therapeutic communication. Students are encouraged to examine their personal values and feelings in caring for patients in this setting and their interaction with the inter-professional mental health team.
