Catalog description

A survey course of practical mathematical concepts and applications, intended for both liberal arts students and STEM students who require development of fundamentals. Topics include essential algebra, operations with rational and irrational numbers, set theory, formal logic, combinatorics, and probability. Coursework prioritizes modeling of situations and the use of methodical reasoning.
