This course provides the technical skills needed to adopt, learn, and apply relevant tools and techniques to complete data analytics projects with confidence. The focus of the course is on the data discovery and data preparation steps in the analytics life cycle. Data analysts spend up to 80% of their time on data discovery and data preparation, and technology allows us to process and prepare data quicker via computer programming. Students will gain hands-on experience by programming in languages including structured query language (SQL) and Base SAS. Students will also gain experience using cloud technologies such as SAS Studio. They will emerge ready for data preparation tasks by using technology and "learn how to learn" new technologies if needed, to secure jobs in the marketplace that require these skills.
