Catalog description

Honors students will be introduced to the field of psychology, studying topics that include the brain, neuronal structure and functioning, sleep and dreaming, cognitive and social development, learning, memory, intelligence, personality, psychopathology, psychotherapy, social cognition, and social influence. They will also learn research methods that will allow them to conduct preliminary original and/or secondary research in semester-long projects. Toward the end of the semester, Honors students will present their work to their peers and help facilitate the instruction of assigned topics.
