Catalog description

This class provides an overview of the history of the moving image, from its earliest forms in the 19th century to the multiple modes of production and distribution of today. The primary goal of the course is to develop historical appreciation for the ways that technological, industrial, and cultural developments have impacted the creation and experience of cinematic, televisual, and digital content in different places and eras.
