This course assists students in developing competencies in unit planning, instructional strategies, and the utilization of diverse materials and technology for teaching the social studies. Students design courses of study that integrate state and national standards; contemporary thinking about the teaching of social studies is stressed. ED 442C concentrates on the activities, planning, and materials for social studies in elementary classrooms. 2 semester hours
