Catalog description

This course is designed to offer broad knowledge and competencies in Earth, Life and Physical sciences. It focuses on fundamental scientific concepts, principles, and interrelationships within the content of real-world, meaningful  scientific phenomena, problems and issues. It focuses on basic understanding of Earth, life processes, and physical matter and energy.  Additionally, an understanding of the nature of science as a complex human enterprise with a distinct philosophy and methodology and a place and role in the society, is crucial. This course helps its participants relate to physical, earth, and life science concepts through discussions, and question-and-answer sessions.
