Catalog description

Understanding the urban student can be very difficult for educators in the 21st century.  Values, attitudes and communication styles are vastly different from students raised in a middle class suburban environment.  This course will discuss how teachers can begin to understand the psychological, social, economic and environmental influences affecting students in urban education today.
