Catalog description

This course introduces undergraduate students to the fundamental principles of cybersecurity and the protection of digital systems, networks, and data. Students examine common cyber threats, basic defense mechanisms, and the ethical and societal implications of cybersecurity decisions. Through guided hands-on labs and case studies, students develop digital literacy, critical thinking, and quantitative reasoning skills while learning how organizations manage cyber risk and respond to incidents. The course is designed for non-specialists and serves as a foundational cybersecurity and digital awareness course.
