After a brief review of general chemistry and an introduction to organic chemistry, the chemistry and biochemistry of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, nucleic acids, vitamins, enzymes, and hormones are studied. Included is an introduction to diseases caused by metabolic disturbances and in-born errors of metabolism. Prerequisite: Chemistry 113 and CHEM-113L. 3 lecture periods Lab Fee Assessed
