This is a graduate level course that emphasizes on the structure property and functions of nanocomposites based on polymers and other biomaterials toward biomedical, mechanical and electrical propert driven device applications. Various examples of smart materials, their fabrications, and the use in undersanding biophysical and biochemical processes are discussed.
