The accounting discipline is going through a cultural shift and is being reinvented by new technologies which have transformed the profession in many areas, such as hiring processes, offered services, artificial intelligence, and the approach toward data analytics. As a result, now more than ever, accounting positions require computer-savvy, skilled and trained accountants. In addition, the capability to adopt and integrate technology with current processes is a must, as clients expect superior quality and various services from their accountants. Big data in accounting aims to collect and organize data from various sources in real time. Now, Accountants can access financial reports and up-to-the-minute information to uncover valuable insights. Unstructured data and be analyzed from any source, such as social media, audio, video, and images. In addition, visualization software enhances viewing the data, and big data improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the analysis, reduces the analysis risk, and adds value to the client’s business decision-making. In this course, you will learn how to analyze real accounting data, explore issues with data and use visualization tools to present and communicate your analysis and findings.
