Catalog description
Development of communication skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in Japanese. Emphasis on the practice of vocabulary and grammatical structures in meaningful communicative tasks and authentic cultural contexts. Includes introduction to grammar and alphabets (hiragana and katakana) and kanji. Course offered through Illinois Wesleyan University. First course in three-course sequence.
