Capstone Project in Nursing

Catalog description

This practicum builds upon the skills, competencies, and experiences attained in NUR 632 and NUR 633 and provides students the opportunity to apply the quality improvement (QI) methodologies learned within a selected healthcare setting and to disseminate their scholarly work to diverse audiences. Students will collaborate closely with a nurse leader to assess organizational processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop a plan to implement evidence-based, data-driven solutions that enhance healthcare delivery systems. The capstone experience enables students to translate theoretical knowledge into actionable strategies, driving improvements across diverse patient populations and a variety of organizational settings.
