Catalog description

This course introduces students to community and population health nursing, emphasizing the nurse s role in promoting, protecting, and restoring health across diverse populations. Aligned with the AACN Essentials, students apply principles of epidemiology, social determinants of health, and evidence-based practice to address population priorities. Through case studies and practicum experiences, students assess needs, analyze data, and design interventions. Students register for 1.5 semester hours, completing 50 practicum hours under a qualified preceptor.
