Catalog description

This course emphasizes conceptual understanding, applied reasoning, ethical reflection, and entrepreneurial thinking rather than programming. A distinctive feature of the course is hands-on engagement with non-code AI, machine learning, and sandbox tools, including basic data wrangling, inference, visualization, and efficient, responsible prompting using the university-wide large language model (LLM) platform (e.g., Microsoft Copilot). Students learn to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, bias, and limitations, and develop responsible AI usage habits through discipline-specific case studies and collaborative projects aligned with their majors.
