Catalog description
Lecture/Laboratory. Introduction to soil science including soil genesis, soil physics, soil chemistry, and soil management. Students learn about factors influencing soil formation, soil physical and chemical properties, conduct a literature review, recommend remediation approaches for contaminated soils and communicate environmental problems to a broad audience. Students can not earn credit for both SEES 4600 and GEOL 5600.
