Catalog description

This class focuses on the unique health challenges, needs, and outcomes of people living in rural areas of the United States. There is an emphasis on how broad systems affect health disparities, with additional focus on how location, access to care, access to affordable and nutritious food, culture, socioeconomic status, job opportunities, and education influence health and wellbeing. Successful interventions and innovative solutions to improve health among people in rural areas are discussed. Prerequisite(s): PUBH 3200 Corequisite(s): PUBH 3200
