Catalog description

Fall, Spring. A survey of the philosophical, political, and economic approaches to understanding how social institutions work and how they should work. Topical focus varies, but may include economic justice, the economics and ethics of wealth creation, markets and morality, or democratic theory. Serves as a Core course in the PPEL (Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law) major and the gateway course for the PPEL minor. Credit cannot be earned for both PPEL 2240 and PHIL 2240 . Approved for distance education.
